VPN service on UL

“Remote access to internet resources of UL, anywhere in the world with internet access”

VPN service (Virtual Private Network) permits the access to all available services from the internal UL net through an external connection (DSL from other ISP, for instance).

With VPN access, users can safely access to all resources usually only available inside UL Campus.

ST/SPUL supplies VPN access though the following protocols:

1. PPTP, the easiest to use/configure (it exists on any operating system, Microsoft, Linux and MacOS);

2. IPSec, one must install Cisco VPN Client. Can be downloaded here;

3. Web SSL permits the access to private web contents through a simple browser from any remote computer (very useful on Intranet access from Faculties or b-ON).
