The Research Support Office (GAI) was created by the Rectorate of the University of Lisbon (UL) in 2004 and was recently incorporated in the Shared Services of the UL. The GAI supports the organization, management and dissemination of the University’s R&D activities, and also actions related to technology transfer, intellectual property rights and promoting entrepreneurism.
The GAI' services are provided by three main task forces which are organized in three units that cover a broad range of subjects, namely:

• Technical Management Unit
• Administrative support of R&D Unit
• UL Inovar Unit
